1/23/2019 -- The New York Senate and Assembly each passed a radical pro-abortion bill on Tuesday, allowing unborn babies to be killed for nearly any reason up to the time of their birth. Governor Andrew Cuomo immediately signed the so-called "Reproductive Health Act" into law.
The bill, which had been blocked for years by Republican lawmakers, passed easily now that the November elections have left both houses controlled by pro-abortion Democrats.
Unspeakably horrific late-term abortions will now be legal in New York, which dismember and kill unborn babies who can feel pain and who could otherwise be born and survive, going on to live full lives. Abortions in New York were previously allowed only on unborn babies under 24 weeks gestation.
The bill feigns limitations on late-term abortions -- saying they may be performed in "an absence of fetal viability," or when "necessary to protect the patient's life or health" -- however, the meaning of the word "health" is not defined in the legislation, and is an intentionally broad, vague, all-encompassing term, being defined in Roe v. Wade companion case Doe v. Bolton as "all factors -- physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman’s age -- relevant to the wellbeing of the patient."
In other words, abortion will be available to anyone, essentially for any reason, up to the point of birth.
New York lawmakers cheered loudly after the bill was passed:

Also, Governor Cuomo, after signing the bill into law, ordered the World Trade Center and Kosciuszko Bridge to be lit up in pink in celebration:

New York already has an abortion rate that is double the national average, and this new law will surely increase that figure.
God have mercy.
